Whole House Video

In one sense, distributed video has been around for as long as TV—put a splitter on the antenna or the cable feed and you had video wherever you wanted it. But you alone. What you were watching in the bedroom was not available in the living room.  VCR, DVD player - only one room could use them so you either got lots of them or suffered thorugh it.

Today, distributed video means sharing sources — satellite boxes, Bluray players, antenna..., with a distribution network to get the picture and sound where you want them. Of course it's not always simple but at Transcend Home Theater we handle the compexity while you enjoy the show.

Furthermore, technology that originated in the computer world offers exciting new possibilities for distribution of audio, video, still pictures, and text. All these can be saved as digital data on a media server, a computer designed specifically for sharing your content (music, videos, movies...).
